Minecraft Player Animation Mod Download for Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt

Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt each handle the library a little differently. This guide covers all three.

The library is published for several mod loaders, and the right Minecraft Player Animation mod download depends on which one your profile uses. Forge has its own dedicated guide; this page covers Fabric, NeoForge and Quilt.

A quick loader overview

Installing on Fabric

  1. Install Fabric Loader for your Minecraft version and run the profile once.
  2. Add Fabric API if the dependent mod requires it.
  3. Download the Fabric build of the library for your exact game version.
  4. Place the file in mods along with the mod that needs it.
  5. Optional: add bendy-lib if the dependent mod asks for limb bending support.

Installing on Quilt

Quilt loads most Fabric mods, so use the Fabric build of the library. Install Quilt Loader for your version, add the Quilt-compatible API your mods require, then add the library and the dependent mod to mods. If a mod misbehaves only on Quilt, test the same setup on Fabric to see whether the loader is the cause.

Installing on NeoForge

  1. Install NeoForge for your Minecraft version and launch it once.
  2. Download the NeoForge build of the library for that version.
  3. Add it and the dependent NeoForge mod to the mods folder.
  4. Launch and check the mod list.

Never mix builds. One library file per profile, built for that profile's loader and game version.

Developers: bundling the library

If you make mods, the project's documentation explains how to depend on it from KosmX's Maven. It warns against shadowing the library into your own jar because it cannot be loaded more than once safely. Fabric's include or Forge's JarJar (1.19.1 and later) are the supported ways to bundle it.

Which loader should you choose?

Choose the loader your other mods use. The library is available for all of them, so the deciding factor is your modpack, not this library. For download safety and version checks, see the download guide.
